PVH Diet and Grocery list
PVH Diet and Grocery List
When I switched to the PVH Diet, cleansed and energized all foods/drinks before consuming; along with twice-daily bed yoga, affirmations three times daily, and not missing any live or offline blessing protocols, I noticed a massive change, with many old problems disappearing. (I had also started homeopathy and Pilates at the same time.)
Two to three years later, as I became stronger, I was able to tolerate more foods and eat out occasionally. However, I no longer enjoyed those foods because I had become accustomed to fresh homemade meals with less salt, low sugar, no sourness and live ingredients. Once our body becomes used to fresh, Prana-rich foods, it becomes difficult to enjoy processed, inflammatory foods. I was surprised how difficult it was to find meals that weren’t enhanced with vinegar or other artificial sourness, or warm dishes prepared with fresh green vegetables.
I also noticed the reverse: a stark difference in my health and vitality if I fell off the diet for a while. (Body could tolerate some cheat days now and then, as long as I stayed on PVH diet in general.)
Dr Siva recommends this based on the ENERGETIC blueprint of the foods and their effects on our bodies. He teaches how to sense the positive and dark energies in the food.
Dr Siva also explains that these are general guidelines for optimal body function and long term vitality. Of course a strong young healthy body may be able to safely eliminate toxins or acidic foods, but prolonged neglect can show effects in later years or when the immune system is compromised for any reason.
Those working on improving health, weight, and immunity are advised to follow this diet more strictly to see fast results of all healing and other treatments.
START CHILDREN EARLY on right diet. Find ways to educate them on the principles of food and water, their effects on our bodies.
Gently guide the ELDERLY towards this diet to reduce knee and joint pain from accumulation of inflammatory diet for many years.
The earlier one starts consuming live foods full of Prana, the better chances to stay mobile into old age and maintain good immunity. Pairing with other PVH wellbeing practices and daily basic healing enhances the benefits.

General Shopping Guidelines
Choose More Of
- Fresh, whole foods that can be prepared at home.
- Live, Prana-rich ingredients whenever possible.
- Fresh leafy green vegetables and herbs. Be sure to cook them lightly and retain their color, even slight crunch. (Overcooking will remove the benefits and loosen the fiber too much to be beneficial.)
- Fresh fruits and vegetables that are appropriate for your health needs. (I look for those with roots and stems/leaves intact as they would be more alive. Eg carrots/radish with leaves or a bunch of spinach with roots, and tomatoes on the vine, when available)
- Locally grown and in-season fruits/veggies always better than those traveling from far
- Organic preferred for fruits/veggies with thin permeable skin
- Foods prepared with less salt and low sugar.
- No matter what is in your shopping bags: As soon as you come home, use the color wand to cleanse of dark energy or toxicity then energize all foods with Prana. Do the same to cooked foods and drinks before serving. This makes an immense difference. Read how: https://pvh-usa.blogspot.com/2026/07/heal-and-energize-foods-and-drinks.html
Minimize (Eliminate if working on health and general immunity)

- ZERO Sour or frizzy drinks - kombucha, soda, sparkling water
- Bottled water (no/low Prana)
- Rice or rice flour (replace with cracked wheat or quinoa)
- Split lentils of any kind, or flours/pasta/snacks made with it
- Aged and fermented cheeses.
- Sour yogurt or curd.
- Vinegar.
- Lemon and lime or Tamarind (imli).
- Pickles of all kinds.
- Root vegetables and squashes (tend to be high carb and sweeter, use as the health permits)
- Sour fruits or vegetables
- Salt (minimize)
- White sugar (eliminate or replace with natural sweeteners like sulfate free jaggery or panella sugar)
- Overly sweet fruits - only based on health
- Foods heavily flavored with vinegar or artificial sourness.
- Precut fruits and veggies will have less Prana, minimize when possible
- Bottled sauces and chutneys (usually contain vinegar or preservatives)
- White flour / bleached flour (highly processed) and foods made with it
- Highly processed foods, including those containing high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives, excess salt, or excess sugar.
- Generally avoid or eliminate any prepared food that is boxed and can sit on a shelf for a while.
Read Ingredient Labels
If you must buy packaged foods or drinks, Choose only those with the fewest, simplest ingredients possible. If an ingredient is highly processed or doesn’t seem like something found in nature (such as high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, artificial colors, artificial flavors, or preservatives), consider choosing a simpler alternative whenever possible.
Things are sneaking into simple items like yogurt, milk, butter. Always read and locate brands you can trust.

A Simple Rule
If you’re unsure whether to buy something, ask yourself:
- Is it fresh?
- Is it minimally processed?
- Does it look like real food?
- Does it support the PVH Diet principles?
If the answer is yes, it’s usually a good choice. If it has a long ingredient list or contains artificial ingredients, consider choosing a simpler alternative.
PVH Muscle Testing
Muscle testing is a simple way to check whether a particular food or drink is compatible with your body at that moment.
- Hold the food item in one hand, and place it directly against your body near the solar plexus, on the spleen area. Your spleen needs to be able to sense the Prana coming from whatever you are holding.
- Extend your other arm straight out to the side, parallel to the ground.
- Have another person gently press down on your extended arm while you resist, keeping your arm firm and steady.( Press down gently, only to check the resistance. Use one finger for most women and children)
- If your arm stays strong and holds steady, the food is generally compatible with your body at that time.
- If your arm weakens and drops easily, the food may not be serving you well at that moment—energetically or otherwise.
- If you are alone, you can also test using a pendulum or your Healing Wand instead of another person. Ask the wand to sense dark energy, toxic energy, beneficial energy and level of Prana, one at a time.
This is intended as a personal, in-the-moment check, not a diagnosis. The same food can test differently on different days depending on your body’s condition, so it is worth checking again rather than treating one result as permanent.
Why This Matters
These videos explain the energetic principles behind the PVH Diet, including why fresh, live foods carry more Prana and how the foods we eat affect the body beyond nutrition alone.
